What is Insulated Panel?

Insulated panel or sandwich panel are for thermal insulation wall. Popularly used in cold storage industry. Temperature-controlled rooms, known us ISOWALL, offer precise temperature regulation and effective insulation, preventing external heat transfer and ensuring a consistent internal environment.

As a result, it prevents cool temperature from leaking out of the cold room and prevents hotter temperature from outside from transferring into the cold room. Insulated panels are made from galvanized steel sheets or PPGI on both sides with insulation core. There are 4 types of insulation core: PIR foam (Polyisocyanurate), PU foam (Polyurethane), PS foam (Polystyrene) and Rockwool fibers. Galvanized steel sheets and insulation core and bonded together with adhesive.

Insulated panels are suitable for various industries, but not limited to, food, beverage, pharmaceutical industries (Food Grade), cosmetics, warehouse, distribution center, electronic, data center. Comply with international standards GMP and HACCP requirement.

Types and Properties of Different kinds of Insulated Panels?

1. PIR Insulated Panel (Polyisocyanurate) FIWall i380

FIWall i380 PIR Insulated Panel, a thermal insulation, fire proof, smoke free wall panel produced with the highest quality and the state of the art machinery from Germany. 2. PU Insulated Panels (Polyurethane) or fake PIR

PU or yellow foam virtually looks like PIR foam. But PU Foam is not fire resistance. When catches on fire, it produces a lot of black and toxic smoke that causes choke to death.

3. PS Insulated Panels (Polystyrene)

EPS Sandwich Panel or white foam is commonly used to build cold room for years. It has thermal insulation property and is cheap. But PS foam has high water absorption value resulting in a shorter lifespan and the insulation property will keep decreasing. Need very thick panels to accommodate very high negative room temperature control. This very thick PS panels occupied room space and limit the smart design to maximize operating floor space. PS foam is not fire resistance. It melts and causes fire droplets that spread fire fast, causing high damage to the building structure.

4. Rockwool Insulated Panels

Rockwool Insulated Panel is made from a volcanic rock fiber with excellent fire protection, thermal protection, and sound absorption. Commonly used in industries that require fire safety with non-combustible material.
